How do I install Citrix Workspace for Windows?

To run Epic or other virtual applications, you will need to download and install Citrix Workspace for WindowsFollow these instructions to install the application on your computer.

1. Visit the Citrix Workspace App for Windows download page. 
2. Click Download Citrix Workspace app for Windows.
3. Click Save file.
4. Open the File Explorer and navigate to the Downloads folder.
5. Locate and double click Citrix Workspace AppThe User Account Control dialog opens.
6. In the User Account Control dialog, click YesThe installer opens.
7. Click Start.
8. Check the license agreement checkbox (A) and click Next (B).
9. Do not enable single sign-onClick InstallThe installer initializes.
10. The installer begins installation.
11. Workspace App installation.
12. Installation completesDo not add an accountClick Finish.
13. A dialog prompting a restart opensClick Yes to finish the install.
14. After the computer restarts, you will be prompted to add an accountPlease enter https://medconnectplus.mc.uky.edu and select “Add”.
    

Use Citrix Apps on MedConnectPlus

Test the install by performing the following steps:

1. Open a browser and visit https://medconnectplus.mc.uky.edu
2. Enter your logon credentials and click Log On.
3.  Perform the Two-Factor Log-In steps.
4. In the APPS tab using the “Categories” view, click to select the folder with the app you want to run (i.e Epic) Select the star to add this app to your Favorites screen.
5. In Firefox you will be prompted to select an application in the dropdown (A) to open the .ica file.
   Select Citrix Connection Manager and click OK (B).
   In other browsers, click the .ica that downloads to the Downloads folderThis will initiate your Citrix session.
6. Epic opens in a full screen sessionIf you fail to connect, you will see this dialog:
   Wait a minute and re-attempt logging on.
