Change LinkBlue Password

How To Change Your linkblue Password

Your linkblue account is used for most computing resources at The University of KentuckyWith Two-Factor Log-In, your password is good for 365 daysTo change your password, you will use https://ukam.uky.eduFor more information about enrolling in Two-Factor Log-in, refer to KB0012096.

Note: If you have forgotten your password or it has expired refer to Recovering a linkblue Password With The Duo Password Recovery Option (KB0012716) to change your password.

To change your password, perform the following steps: 

  1. Visit the LinkBlue Account Manager (https://ukam.uky.edu)
  2. Click Returning Users.
  3. Enter your LinkBlue credentials and click Login.
  4. An identity confirmation dialog will appearClick Push (A) if you have a smart device set up for two-factor log-inIf you use a passcode (token or SMS text), enter the passcode in the “Passcode” field (B) and click Confirm (C).
    Note: If “No Devices Found” displays, you will need to configure a device for two-factor log-inContact ITS Customer Services at 859-218-HELP (4357) to have a device configured.
  5. Scroll down to the “Password Details” section and click Change Password.
  6. Enter your current password, a new password twice, and click Change.
    Note: Make sure your new password meets the password requirementsRefer to KB0012717 for more information about the password guidelinesSee KB0011392 for password guidelines for accounts with no lockout.  Also, please note that some legacy systems at the University will not accept spaces as leading or trailing characters.
